Micro Lab #2 - Predicting New Combination Therapies and Regimens - Temporal Administration Considerations

Date/Time: September 17, 2021, from 11AM to 2PM EST.

Observations have shown that a simultaneous vs. temporal drug administration may have impact in the treatment response. To this end, Micro Lab 2 will focus on how drug combinations change efficacy when temporally administered, what drives the optimal temporal administration regimens and what are the models to test these dynamic hypotheses. Questions to address in this Micro Lab may include but are not limited to:

  • How would a combination change its efficacy if administered sequentially versus simultaneously?

  • What is the optimal administration regimen?

  • What is the best model system to use to test dynamic hypotheses?

  • How does PKPD inform us about these combinations?

  • Is the organ-on-a-chip model a better experimental paradigm than cell culture?
